Box
body is made from beautiful curly birch, all sides
from the same piece of wood.
It
stands on ebony feet with aluminum pilasters and
pinned to body with exposed brass pins.
Front
design is ebony and brass inlays.
The
top is faceted with ebony inlay and hinged with hand-made
ebony hinges.
Top
is designed to open half-way (as shown below) and
stop. Bottom is lined with ultrasuede.
The
finish is eight coasts of hand-brushed urethane varnish
for a gleaming high gloss finish - very durable. |
