Decorative Wood Keepsake Box Bamboo

12" x 9" x 5-1/2"

Ebonized cherry
with golden Ceylon satinwood trim

Artwork - Pigmented epoxy inlay

Finish - Eighteen coats of clear lacquer and polished to a high luster

Solid brass Brusso hinges

The box is an emerald cut shape on a beveled foundation.

The underside of the top is vaulted in the inverse shape of the top side.

The wood is ebonized cherry (cherry dyed black) with eighteen coats of clear lacquer and polished to a high luster.

The artwork is derived from an antique Japanese lacquer box from the Meiji era (1800?s), a pigmented epoxy inlay poured into a shallow carving, giving it a raised or embossed appearance.

Interior bottom is dark green velvet.

Brusso 95 degree hinges allow the top to remain upright when open.
