Description:
Honduras rosewood is a rare and little known species of rosewood that can have three distinct colors; light, dark and variegated.
As you can see, this one is variegated with dark streaks over a lighter background. I only make several boxes per year of Honduras rosewood, since it is so seldom that I can get my hands on the better looking pieces.
Now, notice the ends which are very dark. This is of the even more rare dark Honduras rosewood which has a distinct purple cast to it
