Description:

This box is made of a thick (1/8") Honduras rosewood pressure laminiated over alder.

This is one of the occasional piece we find that is an unusually dark color, almost with a purplish hue. It is also quarter sawn, giving it a straight and tight grain patttern.

Top is bookmatching spalted maple burl with Ceylon satinwood stringing.

Finished with 10+ coats of acrylic lacquer and machine polished to a high gloss.
