Another of my trademark bridge
box designs, this box incorporates a very beautiful
piece of Honduras rosewood that I've been holding
onto for just the right design.
Typical of this rosewood, it is
a reddish brown with a hint of blue, that contrasts
beautifully with ebony.
Thick rosewood veneer is laminated
over the ebonized cherry sides. The end plates
are ebonized cherry while the other parts are real
ebony.
It is mounted on four polished
brass legs set in solid ebony "feet", which are extra
wide to present tipping over.
The interior of the box is black
with emerald green velvet liner, with a half-size
sliding upper tray so that large objects can be stored
in the bottom and smaller items in the upper tray.
It is finished smooth with satin
acrylic.
